Learn to buy PC

  • CPU:
CPU stands for "Central processing unit" or in other words the laptops "Brain". This part is one of the most expensive parts and the most important one, it does all calculation for your PC. The most common company is Intel, which is the best and the cheapest in CPU's. the speed of the CPU is counted by giga hertz. the bigger the GHz number the fastest the CPU is. This is a list of best CPU's from the slow to the fastest:

  1. Atom, Celeron, Pentium 4 etc.
  2. i3
  3. i5
  4. i7
each CPU has a generation, the higher the generation the fastest the CPU is.

  • RAM:
RAM stands for "Random access memory", this memory is used to temporary import the hard disk files into the RAM, because hard disk is slow to run the files or application the files are moved to RAM on startup then they are used & edited inside the RAM, this why we see "loading..." when opening an app, the PC moves them to the RAM, for fast access. RAMs have many shapes and sizes the higher the capacity, the faster your PC.
NOTE: using 2 different RAM capacity's will make problems for your PC, if you buy a 2 GB RAM and your PC has 2 RAM inputs, buy the other one also 2 GB, difference in capacity's means difference in speeds, this will make your PC slow.

  • Hard disk and screen's:

This is based on your usage and your needs, if you only need 1TB capacity and you buy a 2TB PC, it won't just cost you more, but make's your PC heavier. so measure your needs before purchase.
Screen is also based on your needs, for gaming usually big screens are recommended, try to buy the screen that fit's you and won't makes your PC heavy.
